Sonia Gandhi played a phenomenal role as the Chairman of the National Advisory Council, which was instrumental for the Right to Information and the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act which were the most acclaimed policies of the UPA 1 which had a great influence in UPA’s victory in the 2009 parliament elections.
